Dear Friends of UNM Special Education,

I am pleased to announce the 2019 Dr. Jane Blumenfeld lecture, which will be held on Thursday, March 28 at 4:00! In the spirit of Dr. Blumenfeld’s work, our 2019 speaker will be Dr. Maya Kalyanpur, internationally respected for her work on the intersection of culture and special education, focusing on families of children with disabilities, and international development and disability studies. Dr. Kalyanpur is currently a Professor in the School of Leadership and Education Sciences at the University of San Diego. She received her PhD in Special Education from Syracuse University.
