Deconstructing Structural Racism Through Research: A Call to Action in Light of Racial Inequalities in Experiences With Police Violence and COVID-19
June 26th, 2020 9:00AM-12:00PM (MT)
Join us for a presentation from Dr. Zinzi Bailey, nationally recognized social epidemiologist whose work has focused on the health impacts of and policy solutions for structural and institutional discrimination, especially at the intersection of public health and criminal justice.
This workshop is a follow up to a prior in-person visit from Dr. Bailey as part of our TREE Center’s training module on cognitive decline.
Presentation will be followed by a panel of local experts who will help connect Dr. Bailey’s work to the challenges we face in New Mexico and how we can collectively work toward dismantling structural and systemic racism.
