(Virtual) 8th Annual Faculty Women of Color in the Academy
When: Sat, Apr 18 2020 12:00am - Sun, Apr 19 2020 5:00pm
Where: Online
Following guidance from the CDC and the Virginia Department of Health, to limit the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus disease, the 8th annual Faculty Women of Color in the Academy Conference has adopted a virtual format.
A message from Dr. Menah Pratt-Clarke, FWCA founder:
We recognize the importance of community and for women of color in the academy to gather in community, especially at this time. We are disappointed that we cannot gather in person, but gathering virtually is the best option at this time. We have worked with the national committee to develop what we hope to be a meaningful and impactful two-day experience. Please see our new virtual schedule. The schedule reflects a one day conference experience on Saturday, April 18th. We hope that may allow many of you to devote the day to self-care, empowerment, and personal and professional development. We will still be hosting the writing retreat, virtually, on Sunday, April 19th.
